Our city has been under MECQ (Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine) since the first day of June 2021 because of the rising COVID-19 cases. And just a while ago, the news outlets have been reporting that our city will undergo another MECQ extension until the 15th day of July 2021. With that, I believe a lot of people will be bored inside in their houses again. Well, not me, as of the moment that is, because I have found three boredom busters that will accompany me in the next two or more weeks.
Boredom Buster No. 1 – Korean Drama
I don’t know about you but watching Korean Drama has been very helpful for me even before the COVID-19 pandemic started. This has been my first go-to thing to do whenever I feel bored. The only difference is that I can now watch more during MECQ. Hahaha…
Boredom Buster No. 2 – Free Online Games
If my favorite drama doesn’t have a new episode or I felt that the drama plotline has become boring, I turn to free online games. I find enjoyment in killing zombies while harnessing my typing skills at the same time or play my old-time favorite Tetris.
I love playing online games that entertain me while helping me improve my skills or improve my brain efficiency as Tetris does. And the website where I play, they have over 150 games! I won’t be bored if I try them one-by-one and they even add new games!
Boredom Buster No. 3 – Thirty-Minute Workout
I always say I don’t have time to exercise, even when the pandemic started, but as time goes by I can clearly say… I have the time but I just don’t want to do it. I am just too lazy to do it. But now, with the extended quarantine life, I have found time to kill boredom through a 30-minute workout. Hahaha… No excuse. Every day, I spend 30 minutes of my time following a home walking workout regime. It looked simple, but it causes my body to break into a lot of sweat. With this, I am also trying to break my sedentary lifestyle and try to put some effort to keep my heart and body healthy.
How about you? What do you do to kill boredom in this pandemic?
