PS3 vs. Laptop = Desktop

October 11, 2009

After my shift, I usually drop by the gym to say hi to the peeps. I got to know most of the trainers and their hobbies. One of them is a big fan of gaming technology like consoles, and told me that he is planning to either buy himself a laptop or a playstation 3, I told him that if I were him, I’d rather buy a PS3 console, and instead of going for a laptop, I’d recommend him to go for a desktop, since desktop is upgradeable unlike laptops. I’m not sure if he would listen to my recommendation though, but if I were in his place, I’d buy a desktop first, then a PS3. ^_^ I’m actually waiting to save up a lot so that I can finally purchase a desktop… :cute:

How about you? What would you prefer?

I’ll go for a desktop. 😛

  1. I use both a desktop and netbook regularly. I love both for different reasons, the desktop is faster if I’m on heavy image sites, the netbook is just so portable and cute! I’m not into games at all so the PS3 would be out all together for me. Although my husband wants one badly.

I like your blog. I found you through Mom Bloggers Follow Group. I am now following and looking forward to reading more.

  2. I choose a laptop over a ps3 for many reasons only for gaming. Its a cheap 350 dollar laptop new. It will play Crysis on medium settings. It plays most games from 2008 and under. For 2009 and 10 games, I. use my desktop. The PC laptop has more games, cheaper games, can be Modded, It has better screen resolution, is upgradable depending on your model, uses keyboard and mouse built in, has cheaper add ons like usb mouse and headphones plus you can do anything on the web like a desktop and the laptop can do anything else a general computer will do.

It’s a win win over spending the same amount of money just for a gaming console (PS3) tha’ts much worse and lacks features.
