A lot of bloggers nowadays do a lot of digital scrapbooking or what is best known as “digiscap” in the blogosphere instead of the traditional scrapbooking. But why the sudden switch from the old “glue-ing the design on a big blank notebook” to “copy and pasting images to a new Photoshop file”? For one, traditional way of scrapbooking costs a lot of money and time. Ladies are now into the fast paced world where we all need to keep up and most of us don’t have the time to sit down and relax and enjoy a long day of cutting, trimming, glue-ing little pieces of paper, cartons, etc. So instead, most of us opt to go for the pre-made scrapbooking material, however you need to buy these on stores, which some of them costs a lot. But now, thanks to technology, we download these cute embellishments for free over the internet and create digital scrapbooks using softwares like Adobe Photoshop. It’s easier and doesn’t need to cost, although some site sells embellishments as well but those are the really good ones.
Anyways, personally, I still keep a traditional scrapbook for my baby Julie Rayne, and believe it or not, the designs / embellishments didn’t cost me any money, I guess it’s just a matter of imagination and being “kuripot” (stingy). LOL!
