A fifth wheel is an external motor home that you can hitch to your truck or a main coach when you’re going on long road trips. If you are, then you must know that there are certain advantages and disadvantages when it comes to rv towing.

Among its advantages is that it allows for mobility of the highest kind. It also offers better gas mileage. Imagine going on a road trip and you can’t find a decent hotel or motel to spend the night in. You can just basically park in a motor home garage and sleep in your RV with some of the comforts of home. Of course, where there advantages, you can expect that there will be disadvantages too.

Most people who tow RVs have realized that it’s quite difficult to go on bathroom breaks during long rides because they would still need to get out of the main vehicle just to get inside the RV to take a leak. Another major cause for concern is climate control since a towed RV is usually subject to external temperatures.
